About RMD

The Risk Management Division (RMD) is part of the Office of Finance & Resources and was formed in January 2009 to bring together the activities of Risk Advice & Support, Insurance and Internal Audit as a single Directorate. 

The establishment of the RMD recognises the increasing complexities, regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations of the environment in which the UWA operates. As a large and complex organisation with a budget in excess of $600 million and over 20,000 students, the University needs a cohesive, strategic and structured approach to managing risk.
